The Manager Safety Strategy, Systems and Innovation will be responsible for leading the continuous improvement of all health and safety aspects of MRPV activities, driving the implementation of workplace health and safety innovation across MRPV’s programs of work.

We oversee more than 30 projects as a cornerstone of Victoria's Big Build, including some of the State's most important roads. These projects will reduce congestion and travel times, improve safety, connect communities and improve the roads you rely on every day.

Our Safety team collaboratively lead a step-change in safety engagement and management for our projects by providing oversight of all health and safety aspects on activities undertaken by project staff and contractors (construction partners) during all phases of the project life cycles, whilst promoting a safe work culture across MPRV.

- Promoting workplace health and safety innovation across MRPV, from idea conception, research development and delivery.
- Leading the design, implementation, and management of a strategy for health and safety innovation.
- Leading the implementation of MRPV health and safety initiatives and programs of work, including from the MTIA Safety Strategy, MRPV Safety Strategy and MRPV Business Plan.
- Overseeing the ongoing development, implementation, and management of an innovative safety management system, including the appropriate auditing processes via digital based tools safety management plans, processes, and practices.
- Leading the strategic development of contemporary risk management initiatives including safety analysis and trend monitoring capabilities to identify key risks to project delivery.

In this role you will primarily focus on overseeing the development, implementation, and management of best practice safety management systems, leading idea conception, research, development, and delivery of initiatives and business improvements.

Furthermore, the role will involve effectively engaging with and establishing key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders across the industry to drive change and gain buy-in through the design and implementation phase of innovations across the business.

Note: This is a 12-month fixed term position.
