**About the role**
The Property and Valuations Officer supports the efficiency and accuracy of the property and rates database across the Darebin Municipality. In this role, you will manage and improve our property database, provide expert advice to customers and manage a wide range of tasks, from handling property inquiries to addressing complex correspondence.

- Full time permanent position with flexible working arrangements
- $80K - $92k per annum (dependent on experience) + superannuation
- Convenient Preston location, close to public transport

**About Darebin City Council**

Other Responsibilities Include
- Managing Councils Property database, including the development of and continual improvement of procedures and processes.
- Ensuring the accurate and timely processing of property addresses, property creations, subdivisions, consolidations and occupancy changes in Council’s Property and Valuation databases.
- Responsible for ensuring GIS amendments are updated and maintained with all relevant information accurately and timely.
- Generating appropriate and accurate written responses to Property related correspondence including adverse possession claims.
- You will play a key role in managing property-related data, guaranteeing its accuracy and availability to facilitate informed decision-making and enhance community services.
- In this position, you will engage in effective communication with team members and both internal and external stakeholders, promoting collaboration and ensuring clear understanding in all interactions.

**Skills & Experience**
- Experience using Pathway Land Information System
- Local Government experience, preferably in the Valuations and Property area.
- Experience in property administration.
- Working with Children Check
- Victorian Police Check
