**Join our Team as Side Arm or Rear Loader Driver**
- Contribute to the maintenance and of a beautiful, protected and healthy natural environment for our community members and visitors.
- Provide a strong customer focus in your work activities, representing Sutherland Shire Council in your day-to-day work.
- Ensure that the collection of waste is carried out in an efficient, timely and cost-effective manner.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the Waste Services unit Operations Controllers, we have multiple Side Arm Drivers and Rear Loader Drivers.

The responsibilities of these positions include:

- The collection of general garbage, green organics and recycling
- Commercial waste collection and street sweeping
- Ensuring waste loads are free from contamination for disposal at appropriate processing facilities
- Carrying out vehicle inspections and ensuring vehicles are clean and presentable

**About You**
- A valid HR licence
- Experience in a similar role or work environment
- An awareness of National Heavy Vehicle Law
- A commitment to safety culture and ability to comply with safe work practices
- Knowledge of the streets and reserves of Sutherland Shire
- The ability to successfully complete Councils driver verification of competency (VOC) program within the first 3 months of employment

- **Package**:$70,259.57 gross p.a. plus 11% superannuation. Allowances when applicable
- **Hours of work**:Permanent Full time, 38 hours with a 9 day fortnight
