**Your New Career**
The Surf Coast Youth team exist to support young people who live in the shire to thrive. The team work with young people to co-design programs and partner with external providers to enable the delivery of programs that help young people to connect, find employment and improve their physical and mental wellbeing.

**About the role**
This position will suit someone who has a passion and drive to engage with our regions young people by assisting our Youth team in the operation of Council Youth Spaces and Programs. This will include the preparation/set up and support young people to participate in activities and events provided by the team.
- Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting at 12:30pm and finishing at 5:30pm

**Key Selection Criteria**
**Mandatory Qualifications and Experience**
- A demonstrated interest in youth development work.
- A basic level of understanding of the challenges young people face.
- The ability to source ingredients and prepare basic food for groups of young people.
- A willingness to work as part of a team and the ability to interact and communicate with young people in a fun environment.
- The ability to follow instructions, manage your own time and setup, pack down and clean equipment, spaces and signage.
- Established skills creating digital content including capturing and posting images and video and developing promotional material.

**Desirable Qualifications and Experience**
- An interest in horticulture and the basic skills to establish and maintain a vegetable garden and potted flora.

The successful applicant will also need to meet the below criteria:

- A current WWCC.
- Current drivers licence.
