**About the Role**

As a **Behaviour Support Practitioner**, you will play a key role in supporting children aged 2-16, including those with autism, ADHD, ODD, and comorbidities like anxiety and low self-esteem. Your work will involve travelling across Sydney to deliver personalised support in environments where children thrive, including homes and schools.

Using creative, play-based approaches like music, art, LEGO therapy, and sports, you will help children build critical skills and achieve their goals. This is a flexible position starting at **two days per week**, with opportunities to expand your caseload.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Provide therapy to enhance children’s skills, including emotion regulation, social interaction, coping mechanisms, and body awareness.
- Coach parents, educators, and healthcare professionals in effective strategies to support the child.
- Conduct behavioural assessments and develop evidence-based Behaviour Support Plans.
- Implement and review Behaviour Support Plans, ensuring alignment with **NDIS guidelines** and best practices.
- Collaborate with families and professionals to deliver person-centred care.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and case notes.
- Build strong, meaningful relationships with children and their families.

**What You’ll Need**
- A **bachelor’s degree** in psychology, social work, counselling, special education, or a related field.
- Minimum of suitability to work as a Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Experience working with children with neurodiversity or developmental delays.
- Knowledge of behavioural interventions such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques.
- Passion for working with children and a commitment to making a positive impact.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently.
- A valid **Working With Children Check**, **Police Check**, and **NDIS Worker Clearance**.
- A driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Minimum availability of two days per week.

**Location**

Our clinic is based in **Belmore (NSW 2192)**, and we support clients across **Sutherland, Canterbury-Bankstown,** and **Sydney City areas**.
