About the role

We are looking for an experienced professional to lead our strategy team on a permanent, full-time basis in this newly created position.

Working closely with the EGM of Strategy, Sustainability and Innovation, our Head of Strategy will be responsible for leading strategy development and customer insights for the Elders group.

This integral leadership role will lead and support the strategy team in delivering on the key objective of- Strategy development and planning-

- Stakeholder engagement**Responsibilities**:
Lead the formulation of Elders’ overall 3-year strategy, defining priorities and setting objectives, in collaboration with the Board, the MD & CEO, the Executive Committee, and other key stakeholders-
- Initiate and lead strategic reviews of various business units and market opportunities, including new market entry opportunities and strategic due diligence for major acquisitions-
- Translate customer insights into actionable strategies and initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction, loyalty, and retention-
- Lead the customer insights activity including designing, developing, and managing a program of work to identify customer needs, preferences, and emerging trends-
- Lead the development of the annual operating plan and conduct tracking initiatives to ensure financial and growth objectives are achieved-
- Provide regular updates to relevant stakeholders via board papers, stakeholder presentations, and workshopsAbout you

To thrive in this role, you willHave a wealth of demonstrated experience in strategy development and execution with a good consulting background in a top-tier consulting firm or large corporate environment-
- Be an experienced leader or ready to move into a leadership role with the ability to foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence-
- Have excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to break down ambiguous problems, interpret complex ideas and identify market trends to inform strategic decision making-
- Have excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously-
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex ideas and recommendations to diverse audiences-
- Be comfortable working closely with and influencing the senior leadership team and board members-
- Previous experience in retail, food, or agriculture industries would be an advantage but not essentialAbout Elders
