Dogs Handler and Trainer

The Dog's Group Pty Ltd, trading as Dogs in Town, is a successful, enterprising canine business with the reputation of being a leader in providing dog day-care, training, grooming and retail services from our location in Mitchell Road, Alexandria.

**Job Description**:

- Supervising and evaluating groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall wellbeing and safety
- Providing canine enrichment through play and scheduled activities
- Teaching dogs to obey basic commands using various training techniques that are best suited to each dog’s personality and attributes.
- Training dogs with behaviour modification and rehabilitation
- Hosting of classes, workshops and seminars by teaching clients the appropriate training methods to enforce and maintain behaviours and skills learned by their dogs during training sessions.
- Offering feedback to owners
- Frequent cleaning and upkeep of facility and upholding OH&S standards according to company standards.
- Building and maintaining rapport with dog owners through daily feedback and transparency
- Creating and distributing media content for dog owners through videos and photos
- Maintain detailed customer files including health records, previous services, behaviour and training level.
- Exercising and playing with animals, answering customer questions and transferring animals between enclosures by leading or carrying them.
- Assisting with other kennel duties

**Requirements**:
**Salary**: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
