Provide input to process design and budgeting for project development, acquisitions, divestments and joint venture arrangements.
- Manage and deliver the Progressive Rehabilitation Closure transition process (Qld PRCP) or other relevant regulations
- Manage the approvals strategy and process (including complete EISs) for projects
- Liaise with Government departments, manage consultants, and work with key internal stakeholders to ensure project approvals are gained and maintained.
- Maintain currency of knowledge relevant to project approvals and competitor activity
- Build and maintain relationships with landholders and traditional owners affected by projects
- Provide instruction and support to legal department for agreements required for project development
- Support Business Development (M&A) activities with respect to approvals
- Liaise and consult with mine-site personnel for brownfield expansions/extensions and major capital projects
- Contribute to project risk assessments and management strategies
- Prepare reports and data as required to support the business

**The lifestyle**:
This permanent position in Brisbane is offered on a Monday to Friday basis with flexible working arrangements and early Friday finishes, all year round.

**About You**:

- Tertiary qualification in Environmental Science, Engineering, Law or Geoscience
- Project Management training or certification desirable
- 5+ years mining industry experience, combined with experience leading environmental planning and mine site submissions
- Prior experience in project approvals including tenure, land, environmental, investment and other licensing requirements.
- Extensive experience in the management of Environmental Impact Studies (EIS) for major projects
- Extensive knowledge with regards to legislation relevant to resource project approvals.
