IGT APAC is a global leader in gaming. We design, develop, and manufacture gaming products, systems and services for the Club, Hotel and Casino industries in the Asia Pacific region, as well as the Unites States and Europe. This job vacancy presents an outstanding career opportunity for you to join a dominant force in a thriving global gaming market and contribute to the innovation of game development in this space.
As an audio specialist, you will be responsible for all aspects of audio asset development for our games, so your professional experience with audio production tools, systems, processes, techniques, project management, and communication is crucial. In the absence of relevant work history, we will consider your tertiary qualification or equivalent skills, knowledge and experience. Casino gaming experience is an advantage, but not essential, and audio production skillsets from other industries will be highly regarded.
In this role, you will work with producers, artists, engineers, and tools teams to design, produce, implement, and test high quality audio assets for land-based slot machines. This will require you to:
- Design audio systems to enhance the game experience and resolve game design challenges.
- Create, assign, interpret, and execute creative briefs.
- Research and compose music in a vast array of styles and genres including orchestral, cinematic, electronic, hybrid, ethnic, rock, pop, jazz, etc.
- Use a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) such as Cubase or Nuendo to produce music, sound effects and voice over assets.
- Prepare voice over scripts and coach talent.
- Work with a controller keyboard to record musical material, produce mockups, and finalise musical assets.
- Use software synthesizer technology and various synthesis techniques to design sonic events.
- Use Virtual Studio Technology (VST) plugins and manage sample libraries to sequence a wide range of instrumental colour and technique.
- Record and design sound effects from scratch and in conjunction with sound effects library managers such as Basehead.
- Synchronise audio events to animated sequences and game objects.
- Mix and remix finished compositions and sound effects using professional audio production plugins such as FabFilter and Waves.
- Work with the Unity game engine to implement audio assets and test game mechanics.
- Be accountable to deadlines and manage expectations by contributing to project and task management systems such as Jira & Confluence.
- Exhibit great digital hygiene and utilize version tracking systems like Perforce and GitHub.
- Collaborate with a range of creative and technical personnel using communication platforms like Microsoft Teams.
- Have excellent written and oral communications skills, effective inter-personal skills, and the ability to act professionally with a diverse group of staff.
- Integrate with the wider IGT group and contribute to a healthy professional culture.
In addition to workplace satisfaction, IGT is committed to the well-being of all our employees, which is demonstrated by providing:
- An opportunity to participate in a creative, fun, and exciting industry.
- A competitive remuneration package.
- Flexible working arrangements, ability to work regularly from home.
- An inclusive and informal work environment.
- Active lifestyle subsidy program.
- Opportunities for career growth and development in a large global organization.
