Reporting to the Information Systems Director,the ServiceNow Analyst will be responsibility for the development and administration of the IT Service Management environment within ServiceNow, to create complex system configuration, development of custom features, enhancements based on business requirements.
It will see you perform the necessary tasks to design and develop configurations and customizations on ServiceNow platform. The internal ITSM landscape is complex and the strategic plan for the next 18 months is to consolidate multiple ITSM systems into one existing, ServiceNow platform. This will include data migration and business process changes. You will play a key role in operating, enhancing and configuring ServiceNow ITSM and other modules and be responsible for performing hands-on support for end-users, day-to-day maintenance, planning, testing system upgrades, development of modules and workflows, as required by the business.
**Working at NTT**
- Be responsible for administration, development, and day-to-day support of ServiceNow
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the ServiceNow platform team on various development projects and enhancements
- Analyse, design, develop and implement enhancements/fixes
- Create and maintain client scripts, business rules, UI Policies etc. (using JavaScript and ServiceNow libraries)
- Manage the ServiceNow quarterly patching, including coordinating and performing regression testing with the team.
- Create/maintain clear and concise technical and process documentation in confluence
- Monitor work queues and work with the team to troubleshoot and resolve support issues
- Build and maintain Service Catalogs inclusive of workflow and, in future, orchestration
- Adhere to Change Management principles to ensure the stability of sub-production and production environments
- Be proactive, responsive and focus on anticipating future requirements and/or issues
- Monitor software performance statistics
- Be comfortable acting as the sole technical and analysis resource on a project and be able to translate business requirements into a technical solution
- Collaborate with various business stakeholder groups to ensure deployed solutions meet all agreed upon criteria
- Maintain ACLs and contribute to the security of the platform and its data
- Manage data loading through various methods, excel upload, transform maps, web services
- Develop an integration framework and configure integrations between ServiceNow and client ITSM systems for Incident, Request, Problem, Change, Configuration Item.
**What will make you a good fit for the role?**
- Experience in a similar role preferred
- Proven development experience with JavaScript is a must, however knowledge in any other programming language will be highly regarded
- Experience with ServiceNow highly regarded
- Have an understanding of APIs and web services as this is crucial for integrating ServiceNow with external systems.
- Be familiar with different integration methods such as RESTful web services, SOAP, and MID Server.
- Have knowledge on version control within ServiceNow
