**Your role**

CSL Behring is currently recruiting for a **Biotech Manufacturing Assistant**to join our team ( **Biotech Manufacturing Facility-BMF**) at **Broadmeadows**site. In this facility we use mammalian cells and recombinant DNA technology to manufacture drugs for clinical trials that are used to treat life-threatening diseases.

Reporting to the **Upstream Supervisor**your work onsite will assist with achieving key manufacturing deliverables as agreed in the bulk manufacturing schedule. You will also participate in various Biotech Manufacturing facility project activities and liaise with other functional groups involved in technical transfer of manufacturing processes to the Biotech Manufacturing facility.

**Please note: This is a fixed term role until March 2026**.

**Your responsibilities**
- Execute routine activities for the manufacturing of recombinant protein Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) according to pre approved SOPs.
- Performing routine cell culture activities.
- Assist where required in the commissioning, validation, and re-validation of equipment.
- Maintain cGxP compliance of Operations and the BMF.
- Assist where required with the technology transfer of the new products from internal or external customers.
- Ensure that all productions deviations are reported; assist in the investigation of critical deviations.

**Your experience**
- Preferred Tertiary qualification in Biological Sciences, Biotechnology, Chemical/Process Engineering or Food Science Technology.
- Minimum 3 year of related work experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities and equipment.
- Strong Communication skills (written and verbal).
- Experience in a production environment performing aseptic manipulations including microbial or mammalian cell culture in flasks.
