**Our Opportunity**:
**We currently have a 12-month fixed-term, full-time opportunity for a Head of Digital Product & Strategy, responsible for leading and evolving the digital strategy and vision across all enterprise platforms. In this role, you’ll also shape and embed a scalable delivery framework that connects squads to key customer and employee journeys, aligns with our technology stack, and drives continuous improvement across Agile practices and the product lifecycle. Central to your success will be guiding the digital product team in the planning, prioritisation, and execution needed to bring the strategy to life.
**Accountabilities include**:
- Digital Product Leadership_
- Lead and manage the Digital Product Chapter and team across Australian Unity to drive results aligned to the Digital Strategy and vision
- Establish and operationalize the Digital Product Management discipline (solving customer problems by planning, building, delivering, and iterating on solutions) and capability.
- Advocate for, evangelise and improve upon the product lifecycle, ensuring the right practices are in place for a healthy product.
- Lead best practice thinking and frameworks for product management and governance including the setting and monitoring of OKRs and KPIs
- Digital Product Strategy_
- Set the overall product direction, vision, strategy and roadmaps across the enterprise
- Lead the Product team to define, plan and implement digital roadmaps
- Continually evolve the strategy to embrace new business opportunities and address customers needs
- Digital Product Development & Lifecycle_
- Oversee the digital product development lifecycle from ideation to delivery, ensuring products meet business and consumer needs
- Capability Leadership and Stakeholder Engagement_
- Help to define the Digital Product team structure to define and drive Digital Product capabilities
- Provide digital thought leadership for the business; identifying and defining growth opportunities, communicating with stakeholders to deliver continuous performance improvement.
- Delivery Framework_
- Design and evolve the product team setup across AU, by linking each squad to a significant customer/employee journey, defining roles and responsibilities, and establishing consistent ways of working across product teams
- Embed a scalable delivery framework that supports Agile practices and continuous improvement including Quarterly Planning
- Establish performance metrics to assess squad maturity, guide investment decisions, and enable data-driven discussions around roadmap planning and capability growth.
**About You**:
To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate the following capabilities / experience:
- Deep relevant experience in Digital Product Management
- Experience building and leading a digital team and capability
- Demonstrated experience with mentoring and coaching teams
- Experience in shaping priorities, and managing different skills within a team.
- The ability to effectively context switch on tasks of varying complexities, meet deadlines and where required work well under pressure.
- Experience with embedding scalable delivery frameworks at an enterprise level
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written - ability to effectively communicate complex information and tailor communication according to audience.
- Building and leverage partnerships with internal stakeholders and managed services (vendors)
