**The role Reporting to the Principal Finance Officer, you will**:

- Manage and maintain the Assets Register for the Department of Health
- Coordinate and consolidate asset stocktakes and reconciliation of the Asset Register
- Develop, implement, evaluate, review and maintain appropriate work instructions and systems
- Assist in the provision of ongoing user support, education and training
- Assist management with the development and implementation of operational strategies
- Assist with the finance system controls and procedure reviews, maintenance and improvement
- Liaise with the Financial and Asset Accounting Team

**The successful personYou will have**:

- demonstrated knowledge or ability to rapidly acquire knowledge of systems, policies, practices and the standard dealing with the recording and reporting of financial information
- demonstrated ability in the use of an integrated computerised financial management system (SAP, DSS) and PC based software (e.g. Excel, Word).
- demonstrated sound communication and interpersonal skills
