Merchandise Manager

The Merchandise Manager will drive and execute the IKKARI merchandising strategy across componentry, packaging and finished goods. Your overarching objective is to take a strategic approach to planning and optimisation across all points of the inventory journey, from range development through to pricing and purchasing, forecasting and lifecycle management.

Your role will involve analyzing market trends, understanding customer preferences and leveraging data-driven insights to create effective merchandise plans that align with IKKARI’s goals and financial profit and stock targets.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- End to end tracking of all inventory asset management, including componentry and packaging elements both in-house or distributed to supplier.
- Owner and executor of the stock movement calendar, ensuring replenishment, rotations and stock takes are completed regularly.
- Leader range reviews, presenting both in-season and post-season analysis for consideration for strategy design and future investments.
- Accountable for designing seasonal sub-category plans and inventory turn plans that support major growth targets for the company at the key market category and key item levels, ensuring retail and online mixes are planned separately.
- Responsible for all product analysis including reporting and responding to trends in sell-thru, productivity and category white space.
- Act as a key partner to product development and marketing to Identify market opportunities to drive further sales and margin,
- Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure we have appropriately factored for any upcoming promotional activity.
- Responsible for maintaining, forecasting and executing core programs and working with the product development team to ensure reorder strategies are optimized for trade calendar and various channel needs.
- Responsible for hosting monthly merchandise and category projection meetings and leading the execution or delegation of tasks to meet sales and inventory targets.
- Work closely with the logistics and operations team on shipping planning, to ensure inventory launch dates will meet all planned marketing activity.
- Lead all system inputs, set ups and enhancements in relation to inventory and the pricing of inventory
- Responsible for supporting the Chief Executive Officer to ensure bricks and mortar options in stores are at optimum capacity at all times (adhering to brand vision).
- Accountable for the management of data integrity (inventory and merchandise) across the department.

KEY COMPETENCIES
- 3-5 years experience in a similar role in a multi-category/multi-channel skincare, wellness or FMCG business
- Proven ability to understand the drivers for all merchandise KPIs and track record of designing and executing strategies that create optimal inventory performance
- Experience working with made to order, bundled and finished goods
- Multi disciplinary team member, able to work independently and self motivate whilst collaborating in a hands-on culture for best team outcomes
- Ability to drive a trade culture through range and assortment and identify strategic growth opportunities for a rapidly growing brand
- Advanced Excel and Reporting acumen and passionate about interpreting data
- Critical experience in AP21 ERP System
