**Overview**:
With an established Head office in Sydney for over 20 years and branch offices in Melbourne and Brisbane, we are looking for an experienced Instrumentation & Electrical Technician to support our internal team and our client base nationally. The role is extremely varied, from Technical Support, System Implementation, Engineering, Project Management to Production QA and Repairs. This role has the scope to grow into a National Technical Manager role where you would assume full responsibility for managing all technical aspects of our organisation. You will report directly to the Directors.

**Responsibilities and Duties**:
Includes, but not limited to:

- Managing all the Technical and Engineering activities and issues relating to the production, sales and support
of electronic controllers, water treatment control systems & chemical dosing pumps
- Providing Technical Support internally and to our current and prospective customers.
- Designing basic water treatment control systems, P&IDs and provide quotations
- Documenting Production and Testing Procedures
- Repairs/Calibrations in-house and on site when required
- Managing Warranty Claims and product returns
- Equipment Routine Maintenance and Electronic Product Repairs
- Maintenance of WHS and Quality Procedures and Policies
- Testing, calibrating and Quality control of manufactured products on production line to meet the specifications and safety standards.
- Technical Liaison with Local and Overseas Suppliers
- Creation and Maintenance of Application Notes, Data Sheets and Product User Manuals
- Testing and Evaluation of Production Prototypes
- Managing webserver portals
- Managing Beta product field trials
- Managing 3D modelling of Products in Solidworks
- Water/chemical pump assembly, repair and testing, includes both mechanical and electrical aspects of the pumps.
- Fault Finding in various types of electrical circuits including motherboards and processor boards of cooling tower dosing systems, which mainly include Digichem, EMEC and Rhomberg controllers.
- Modify/Repair faulty motherboards, processor boards and sensors of all types that the business deals with.
- Manage Workshop
- Managing future junior technical employees

**You will ideally have the following qualifications, experience and attributes**:

- Tertiary qualification in Electrical, Instrumentation or Process Engineering, Control Systems and/or Water Treatment Instrumentation
- An extensive and proven track record in in an engineering role in the water treatment, chemical pumps and/or electrical/electronic industries.
- Experience and technical knowledge of water treatment control systems, instrumentation and/or chemical dosing pumps
- As a team player, you will have exceptional interpersonal skills, technical know-how and critical thinking skills
- Highly motivated and results driven
- Have a willingness to occasionally get “hands dirty” to assist clients
- Exposure to P&ID, CAD and/or 3D modelling software
- Hold a valid and full driving license
- Be an Australian resident

**Remuneration**:
Your remuneration will be commensurate with your qualifications and experience. However, your negotiable package will include a Base Salary, Superannuation, computer and mobile phone.
