Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a fast-growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening and materials handling to the mining industry.

We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites. Additionally we provide ore processing and materials handling services to the mining industry across Western Australia.

**About the role**:
The role is based at our new Poondano mine site, located 20kms north of Port Hedland, with the role FIFO ex Perth offered on a 2 weeks on 1 week off roster.

The mining team will use excavators fitted with rock breakers to win the in-situ iron ore and load the ROM material onto articulated dump trucks for transport. The ROM material will then be loaded onto a road train for transport approximately 10 km to the east where our crushing plant is located.

From there it will be feed into the mobile crushing and screening plant by a CAT 982 Loader to produce a lump and fines iron ore products.

**We are currently seeking applicants with the below experience**:

- Excavator (Rock breaker) - **Must have**:

- Front End Loader - **Must have**:

- Articulated Haul Truck
- Water Cart
- Grader / Dozer / Bobcat (also desirable)

This role is offered FIFO ex Perth on a 2/1 roster on a full time salaried contract of $152 725 per annum.

**Requirements**:

- Must have experience operating an Excavator (Rock breaker) and Loader
- Experience operating a Articulated Haul Truck & Water Cart (preferred)
- Hold a current and valid driver’s licence (HR preferred)
- Hold an Enter Confined Space permit (within past 2 years)
- Hold a Working at Heights permit (within past 2 years)
- Hold a Gas Test Atmospheres permit (within past 2 years)
- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment medical assessment including a drug & alcohol screen
- Ability to provide/obtain a Police Clearance
