**About the role**

In this role, you will have the opportunity to assure the integrity of refinery assets in an operational environment. You will champion strategic and tactical integrity programs and collaborate to deliver cost-effective integrity, reliability and asset availability. Lead, develop and engage the Integrity team members to continually improve the refinery asset integrity. You will develop strong relationships with senior stakeholders across the refinery and ensure high quality engineering practices and processes are in place.
- Ensure all activities are conducted and managed in accordance with agreed HSSE practices and procedure as outlined in the Geelong Refinery Management System.
- Manage a team of integrity professionals including plant inspectors and material corrosion engineers
- Approval of design modifications and plant changes for pressure equipment and other assets. Including temporary repairs and mitigations
- MOC Signatory and technical review/reflection throughout design development process

**Skills and Experience**
- Degree or diploma in Metallurgical/Mechanical Engineering with 8-10 years experience in refineries
- Passed an Assessor of Quality Assurance Systems course
- Deep understanding of continuous process plant operations, ideally oil refining (distillation, conversion, treating etc), or oil and gas processing.
- Demonstrated thorough understanding of technical (process plant) risk management techniques and decision making to As Low as Reasonably Practicable.
- Skilled as or ability to become an Integrity Engineering assurance/MOC signatory.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively utilise all available communication channels.
- Sound knowledge of mechanical engineering, NDT, corrosion, metallurgy, welding and QA.
