About the role

Your day will include:
- Managing purchase orders from creation to closure, with a focus on re-ordering theatre consumables.- Ensuring timely supply of fit-for-purpose, cost-effective goods and services.- Coordinating receipt, packing, and delivery of goods across the site.- Monitoring order activity, resolving delivery issues, and liaising with suppliers.- Reconciling invoices and managing discrepancies, returns, and credits.- Supporting stocktakes and preparing reports as required.

About you
We’re looking for a motivated and experienced Purchasing Officer who brings:
- Minimum 3 years’ purchasing experience (healthcare/hospital setting highly regarded).- Knowledge of theatre consumables, prosthetics, loans, and consignment items (advantageous).- Strong skills in purchasing systems (JD Edwards e-Procurement preferred) and Microsoft Office.- Proven negotiation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.- Ability to prioritise competing demands and work both independently and as part of a team.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and ethical approach.
