About the role

Your day will look a little like this:
- Responsibility for purchase orders associated with both medical and indirect consumable categories- Managing purchase orders through to closure- Assist and support ensuring fit for purpose and fair priced goods and services are obtained in a timely manner- Competitively quote all requisitions where no contracted substitute exists ensuring compliance with company policies- Perform manual tasks including acceptance, packing and delivery of goods across the site- Tracking order activity and alert appropriate staff of any potential delivery problems, expedite the delivery of selected orders- Liaise with suppliers as required to ensure orders are delivered in full and on time- Analyse data for special reporting as required by management- Reconcile invoices, managing variances, discrepancies, returns and credits- Assisting with stocktakes when required

About you- 1-3 years of relevant purchasing experience (healthcare sector in a medium to large multi-site organisation and/or experience in an acute hospital setting (highly regarded)- Experienced and highly skilled in utilising purchasing software (JD Edwards e-Procurement highly advantageous)- Ability to effectively work both autonomously and within a team environment, providing support and cover to roles as directed- Well developed commercial/negotiating/influencing skills with the ability to finalise negotiations within tight deadlines- Ability to prioritise workflow in accordance with conflicting demands- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)- Willingness to be accountable and accept responsibility- Competency in the use of Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.)Enquiries to: Chaminda Pinto, Supply Manager (Acting) - 0439 183 843
