As a team, we leverage Agile ways of working to help our team develop their skills while also making sure our team is focusing on solving the most complex problems for both our customers and team.

**What you’ll do
**The wiq team is made up of talented individuals with varied skill sets in data science, analytics and engineering, who work collaboratively to solve complex problems and create software products in the retail space.

We are now seeking a highly motivated and experienced QA Lead to join this growing team. In this unique role, you will play a pivotal role in establishing and evangelising test automation best practices across a portfolio of 60+ software products. You will be responsible for leading the charge in developing and implementing a comprehensive test automation strategy, while simultaneously educating and empowering developers to elevate their test automation skills.

**Test Automation Champion**:

- Design and implement a scalable and maintainable test automation framework for a vast software portfolio.
- Identify and prioritise automation opportunities across various software domains.
- Select and implement the most appropriate test automation tools and methodologies.
- Develop and maintain a central repository of reusable test automation scripts and libraries. Foster a culture of automation by collaborating with development teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.

**Developer Advocate**:

- Deliver workshops and training sessions to developers on various test automation best practices.
- Mentor developers in the art of writing effective and maintainable automated tests. Facilitate knowledge sharing and encourage collaboration between QA and development teams.

**Leadership and Oversight**:

- Manage and prioritise the test automation efforts for multiple software projects.
- Establish and maintain clear documentation of test automation processes and standards.
- Track and measure the effectiveness of the test automation strategy through key metrics. Collaborate with stakeholders to communicate the value and impact of test automation initiatives.

**What you’ll bring
**We are looking for someone with a proven background in software testing, with a particular focus on test automation, who can also work collaboratively and communicate with stakeholders across different use cases.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in software testing, with a strong focus on test automation.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing test automation frameworks for large-scale software projects.
- In-depth knowledge of different test automation tools and methodologies (e.g., Selenium, Appium, API testing tools).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and mentor developers. Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
