**1. **Why you want to work for BoardOutlook**:
**1.1 What we do**:
BoardOutlook builds performance management software designed for the Board of Directors of large organisations. Practically, our software helps boards to:
Review their own performance
Measure and understand skill gaps
Assess the performance of the CEO
Understand key risks across the organisation
What this means in practice is helping people who run large organisations to make better decisions when it counts. In the average year, a large board will make decisions that will have major economic impacts, keep hundreds of thousands of people employed and have huge environmental and social consequences. These are the decisions that we help improve every day.
We’ve won many of the largest companies in the country as our clients (in addition to state and federal governments) and are backed by a top tier list of investors. Our revenue growth trajectory is impressive and continues to accelerate. For all these reasons, we need help to continue to capture the opportunity that sits in front of us.
**1.2 Working at BoardOutlook**:
At BoardOutlook we're a growing team with big ambition. There are four values that _form_ the foundation of our team ethos. Everyone we work with must display:
We hold ourselves to account - We fulfil our role on the team with ownership and accountability. We have pride in our work and our impact. We work with high standards and hit timeframes that we set for ourselves.
We generously invest in our teammates with our time and our energy - We have a proactive culture where we all seek out ways to be generous contributors to our team (time, praise, help, feedback, friendship, celebration).
We are optimistic and ambitious - We're naturally optimistic, which gives us both confidence and ambition.
We are brave - We have the courage to set ambitious goals and the drive to work hard to realise them. We are not afraid to respectfully challenge each other.
The stronger the points above describe you and the kind of people you like to work with, the more likely it is you'll succeed at BoardOutlook.
**2. **About this role**:
This Relationship Executive will own a substantial number of relationships with Chairs and Company Secretaries. The role will include:
Relationship management of chairs and targeted Directors. You will develop and maintain strong relationships with our clients, specifically chairs and highly connected directors. You’ll generally connect with these individuals multiple times a year to understand front of mind issues, priorities and concerns.
Delivery and guidance to chairs and company secretaries. You will help our clients to understand and interpret how to get the best out of our tools for the performance of their board. You will be asked by chairs and company secretaries to help them understand what they should be paying attention to, and that they’re clearly understanding and interpreting the reports generated by the system.
Building awareness of the broader toolkit, to drive adoption from existing accounts. Our users subscribe to a platform of tools, that includes board review, skills matrix, CEO360 and many more. A key part of this role is working with the chair, board and company secretary to build awareness of the suite of tools and drive adoption and frequency of use at each board we work with.
Product expertise and knowledge. Through your frequent interaction and use with boards you will become an internal expert on the BoardOutlook product. You will deeply understand the strengths, weaknesses and ways to get the best out of the product in a board context.
BoardOutlook is a disruptor in the board consulting market. Most of our clients are buying BoardOutlook as an alternative or supplement to traditional consulting processes. We want to ensure they have the best possible experience with our technology driven process, which requires strong and trusted relationship management.
**3. **About you**:
We’re looking for someone with at least 7 years of corporate governance experience (as either a Company Secretary or legal advisor to boards) who fits the following six criteria:
You understand the mindset and difficulties of the chair role. You’ve spent a bunch of time working with the chairs and are not intimidated in this environment. You also understand the range of different styles and approaches that can be effective as a chair.
You understand the roles and responsibilities of the board. You understand in practice and theory the function and responsibilities of the board.
You have large listed experience. You’ve worked with large l
