**Communications Manager**

Downer’s Rail & Transit Systems business is Australia’s leading provider for rollingstock. We are a $1 billon business with ~1800 staff across Australia and New Zealand. **The Role**

This newly created role will support the business as we continue to grow. You will enjoy both the planning phase, as well as the hands-on implementation phase. The role offers much room for creativity and initiative - a great opportunity if you are driven to make a visible contribution. The Communications Manager will report into the Senior Manager - Marketing & Communications and will support key internal customers including People & Culture, Health & Safety and Operations. You will support internal and external communications, marketing and brand.

You can partner with senior leaders and colleagues to drive employee engagement and communications, taking key stories to push externally helping to position us as an employer of choice and an industry leader.

***Key responsibilities**
- Client management across multiple internal service lines
- able to build working relationships across a nationally dispersed business.
- End-to-end campaign management:

- Developing specific communications campaigns, including writing communications strategies and getting client buy-in.
- Developing all tactics for implementation including but not limited to:

- External: LinkedIn, websites, news stories, industry media, recruitment campaigns, job fairs, award submissions.
- Driving engagement internally through communications and externally through marketing efforts.
- Evaluating the success of the campaign, reporting on metrics and adjusting for future campaigns.

**All about you**:

- A background in communications (5 - 7 years).
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to drive results.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to make the complex simple.
- Agile, resilient and able to manage competing priorities.
- Experience across BAU and transformation / change.
- Willingness to travel.
