This eastern suburb has an opportunity for an experienced leader to join their City Research and Mapping team. You will provide support and mentoring to a competent and synergetic team. In doing so, partake and deliver various projects across the organisation.

**Some of your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to**:

- Ensure the Council’s customer service standards are met by all team members in line with Council’s standards and targets.
- Support and Mentor your Mapping team in day-to-day tasks
- Keep up to date and implement new and improved trends within research and spatial analysis.
- Coordinate and oversee Council’s pilot Smart Cities project, collaborate across departments, and involve multiple Council working groups.

**Requirements to succeed in this role**:

- Experience working in a similar field or relevant qualifications.
- Prior expertise in the use of GIS.
- Bachelor’s degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Computer Science, or similar fields.
- Prior experience in team management, leading research, budget management, and liaising with internal and external clients.
