**How this position will Make the Difference to City of Melbourne**:
The Program Manager City Issues Team is responsible for identifying, coordinating and implementing safety related projects within the City Safety Branch, as well as the broader organisation. This position will also support the day-to-day management of the Outreach officer who manages the Daily Support Team contract who provide outreach services to the rough sleeping community.

**Selection Criteria**:
All CoM employees will demonstrate an ability to articulate and demonstrate benefits of positive culture and values.
- Leadership capability including leading by example and consistently working towards a constructive culture.
- Demonstrated ability to develop, manage and maintain business plans and associated budgetary and financial management requirements;
- including business planning and business management systems - quality assurance, risk management and occupational health and safety
- Highly developed organisational skills, including a close attention to detail and the ability to act with initiative to design solutions to manage branch priorities.

In addition, the **Program Manager City Issues** will ideally have the following:

- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and persuasion skills, political astuteness and the ability to use discretion and judgment in a complex business and political environment
- Excellent relationship management skills, including the ability to work in a dynamic team environment and collaboratively across multidisciplinary groups;
- including Victoria Police, community groups, other Government agencies, service providers and local businesses.
- Experience in Project Management/ Facilitation - overseeing and delivering projects to internal/ external stakeholders
- Experience in developing innovative solutions to complex business and organisational problems
- Working knowledge of the legislative and regulatory framework relating to relevant sections of the Local Government Act and other relevant Acts and local laws will be highly regarded,
