**About the role**
The role of the Child Care Educator, in the Early Learning Centre (ELC) is to assist the Director/Teacher and the team in providing high quality care and education for children in a community preschool setting for 3-5-year-olds. Unlike a typical Early Learning Centre, we are open for 50 weeks in a year, Monday to Friday from 7:30am to 6:00pm.

**Location**: Waitara, NSW (close walk from Waitara train station)
**Role is**: Casual
**Award level**: CSA 3.1 + Above award level
**Days/ Times**: Monday to Friday, working between 7am to 6pm

Opportunities in the future to be able to move from casual to a permanent position.

**Duties**
- Assisting the room teacher with the implementation of a well-planned and evaluated program for 3-5-year-olds, using the Early Years Framework.
- Developing a positive and supportive relationship with children.
- Maintaining a safe and hygienic environment.
- Working with the team to ensure a compliant centre as per the Education and Care Services Regulations
- Establishing and maintaining good relationships with families.

**Requirements**:

- Completion of CHCPRT025 ‘Identify & report children & young people at risk’
- Current and valid Working with Children Check clearance.
- Certificate III qualifications Early Childhood Education
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Current Asthma and Anaphylaxis
