**Educational Leader - Early Childhood**
At Explore & Develop Waitara, we are committed to providing high-quality early childhood education and care in a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment. We’re currently seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Leader to join our team and play a key role in supporting our educators, leading curriculum development, and building strong partnerships with families.
- About the Role
As our Educational Leader, you will:
- Mentor and guide our team of educators, providing curriculum support and fostering reflective practice.
- Collaborate with educators to design and evaluate play-based programs aligned with the _Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)_ and _National Quality Standards (NQS)_.
- Lead the implementation of our new excursion program, ensuring it is enriching, safe, and meaningful.
- Work closely with families to create respectful, reciprocal relationships that support each child’s development and wellbeing.
- Support ongoing quality improvement by leading the documentation and implementation of the Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) and Self-Assessment Tool (SAT).
- Balance your time across the week, with three days in the classroom supporting educators and engaging with children, and two days off the floor dedicated to leadership responsibilities such as planning, mentoring, and program review. Over time, this role is intended to transition into a fully off-the-floor leadership position.
- Key Responsibilities
- Coach, mentor, and uplift educators to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
- Provide structured support for new team members during onboarding and ongoing development.
- Oversee curriculum planning and documentation to ensure continuous improvement and innovation.
- Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture with open communication and shared values.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and maintain accurate documentation.
- Lead reflective practices and drive the service’s educational direction and vision.
- Qualifications & Requirements
- ACECQA-approved Diploma or Early Childhood Teacher Qualification - ECT
- Valid First Aid, Asthma & Anaphylaxis certificates (ACECQA recognised).
- NSW Working with Children Check (cleared).
- Completed NSW Child Protection training (Regulatory Authority approved).
- Experience in educational leadership or mentoring within early childhood education is highly desirable.
