Located in the North Eastern suburbs, our client, The ARC Campbelltown is a high profile community facility that provides state of the art aquatic, fitness, sports, café and crèche facilities.

**The Role**

The Aquatic Programs Officer will be supporting the Aquatic Programs Team Leader with the high level of administration and providing leadership, direction and feedback to the Learn to Swim Supervisors and Teachers with a mix of administrative and on deck hours.

Operating on a casual basis, you will be required to complete the following tasks:

- Ensure that high quality swimming classes and other aquatic programs are provided at all times
- Coach, develop, provide regular feedback and mentor Swim Instructors to maximise performance
- Assist in the administration and development of aquatic programs including Learn to Swim and Schools Swimming.
- Provide a point of contact for Learn to Swim parents and provide feedback regularly
- Assist in the marketing of the Centre’s Aquatic Programs.
- Respond to, and deal appropriately with, customer complaints and / or operational issues of the Learn to Swim program
- Assist in the coordination of Learn to Swim bookings
- Maintain a high standard of Customer Service
- Perform duties of a Learn to Swim Teacher as required
- Maintain required qualifications
- Complete and maintain Sports Vouchers

**Skills and experience**
- Planning and organising
- Written and Verbal communication as well as interpersonal and representation skills
- Conflict resolution
- Computer Literacy Skills
- Proven experience and achievement in the leisure industry, particularly within learn to swim
- Understanding of large leisure centres (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in a customer service environment

**Personality**

**Qualifications and Clearances Required;**
- A current National Police Clearance
- Valid Working with Children check
- Current Austswim Teacher of Swimming and Water Safety
- Child Safe Environments Training
- First Aid & CPR
- 2 contactable references

You must also;
- _ have been fully vaccinated or;_
- _ have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine; and _have received, or have evidence of a booking to receive, a second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine within the interval after the first dose recommended by ATAGI for that COVID-19 vaccine _
