**Your responsibilities**:
- Develop and deliver project plans that will promote industry and regional development, including research, program development and reporting on progress
- Develop effective relationships with business and industry, all levels of government, peak industry bodies and other key stakeholders, to support delivery of regional outcomes
- Lead the co-ordination and delivery of presentations at industry capability workshops, webinars and events
- Leverage networks and strong data and analytic capability to facilitate industry development, project facilitation and supply chain development initiatives
- Monitor and provide feedback to management on new and emerging regional economic development opportunities and issues
- Represent the department at meetings, events and committees
- Collaborate with and mentor other team members, leveraging strengths within the team to deliver on activity plans and projects that will drive economic growth
- Provide accurate and timely reports, briefings, submissions and other documentation that may be required
- Demonstrate responsible governance through utilising client, projects and record management systems, processes and resources
- Perform other duties as requested by the Regional Director or Manager, including duties which relate to changes in departmental or team priorities.

This includes initiatives that develop and promote the international competitiveness and capability of Queensland's defence, biofutures and biomedical industry sectors. You will be learning new stuff every day The State Development regional teams across Queensland coordinate the delivery of initiatives such as departmental programs and workshops, to link industry and regional business and grow regional supply chains and productivity. The regional teams engage with regional stakeholders and work with regional economic development partners to support and advocate for the strategic delivery of regional economic priorities. They lead place-based developments and economic and industry strategies. They are also Local Economic Opportunities Network (LEO) representatives, and they support state and local governments in responses to adverse events.
