Performance Swim Coach

**What are we looking for?**

We are currently recruiting a **Performance Swim Coach - National Age Squad** for our Miami Aquatic Centre. The role will be based at the Miami Aquatic Centre on the Gold Coast Queensland. This is one of our largest Squad programs with more than 300 Swimmers inclusive of Junior through to Open National/International Swimmers, Surf and Open Water programs. The Centre features two 50 metre pools and a purpose built Learn to Swim Pool.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Leading and Coaching the National Age (Gold) Squad
- Development and oversight of training programs for swimmers from junior to state level squads.
- Working closely with the Miami Head coach, coaching staff across all squads and the Miami Centre Customer service and Learn to swim team
- Attending and encouraging swimmers to attend club nights and promote joining the Miami Swim Club to compete in local, State and National level Competitions.
- Attending local, state & national meets.
- Working closely and collaborating with other venue coaches and management team across Rackley Swimming group.

**What you need to succeed**:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who can build and balance the multifaceted nature of the role. Key traits and experience we are seeking include:

- Demonstrated results with National Age Swimmers
- Strong communication skills, strategic vision and prior coaching experience at Nationals level is a must.
- Experience with developing a Pool based swimming programs and athlete development pathways.
- Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with swimmers and stakeholders and take them on journey to their personal best.
- Leadership and collaboration skills, willingness to engage and mentor junior coaches
- Strong Management skills including budgets, staff development and management.

**Essential Qualifications**
- Coaching accreditation - SAL Advanced (Silver) or Higher
- S&C - Lv1 Strength & Conditioning desirable
- Tertiary qualifications in movement, science of the sport would be desirable
- Current Blue Card
- Lifeguard Qualification
- Willing to undergo a National Police Check
