The City is seeking an experienced leader to lead and manage the Transport and Urban Design team working on a range of exciting public realm projects that will shape the future of the City of Perth.

This is an invaluable opportunity to join the City of Perth and its vibrant, connected community and work in a collaborative environment at a pivotal time of evolution and growth.

The City is seeking a leader who has experience translating national and international trends in transport and urban design to a local urban context. You will have excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills, along with experience in planning and delivery of urban design, transport and public realm strategies, initiatives and programs. You will also have well developed project management skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities.

Your focus will be:

- Leading a multidisciplinary team of project and design professionals in the delivery of community objectives in a local government environment.
- Identifying key strategic projects and facilitating business cases to allow for concept development.
- Leading the coordination and design of City Projects and programs in the field of transport, urban design and community & place development.
- Providing vision and leadership in ideation, urban and transport design, project coordination across the organisation within set timeframes.
- Actively seeking, managing and retaining knowledge gained and lessons learned in operation within the organisation and stakeholder community.
- Providing high-quality data informed advice to the City and elected members.
