Machine Operator

THIS IS A GREAT OPPORTUNITY FOR A PERSON LOOKING FOR A STABLE CAREER IN ENGINEERING WORKING ON MINING EQUIPMENT COMPONENTS.

INTRODUCTORY TRAINING WILL BE GIVEN TO THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT.

Our client is currently looking for a semi skilled person to operate a large rotating machine in Kewdale.

The person we would like to hear from should have some experience operating rotating machinery in a heavy industrial factory and should be able to demonstrate the following skills:
1. The ability to use and care for all measuring equipment required to carry out given tasks on each job. Be able to use and accurately read fine measuring equipment - Both metric and Imperial Micrometers and Vernier calipers.

2. Movement of a completed job to the next job operation section.

3. Daily inspection and maintenance of any machine you have assigned to operate. This will include;
(a) Inspection, and top up if required, of all oil reservoirs.

(b) Greasing of all lubrication points.

(c) Top up or changeout of machine coolant.

(d) Thorough cleaning and oiling of machine after use.

4. Conform with all aspects of the company's Quality Management System.

5. Maintain personal and Company tooling in good working order.

6. SAFETY: You will be required to ensure that;
(a) Safety boots, safety glasses and adequate safety clothing are worn in the workshop at all times.

(b) All other available safety equipment is used when required.

(c) Safe working practices are adhered to at all times.

7. Cleanliness and housekeeping of own immediate working area including work bench, tool bench and floor area.

8. To wear Company supplied uniforms at all times whilst on Company duty.

9. To work a reasonable amount of overtime as requested by the Machine Shop Leading Hand.

10. Participate in training as required.
