Public Sector People is proudly partnering with City of Darebin Council to appoint a Workforce Planning, Diversity & Inclusion Lead.
The position is responsible for leading the implementation of the four-year Gender Equality Action Plan and the four-year workforce plan.
This includes development and implementation of organisational workforce planning activity and action plans throughout the organisation to shape a workforce that can deliver on our vision and goals.
**Key Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of an organisational strategic Workforce Plan, every 4 years or as otherwise required, in compliance with the requirements of the Local Government Act Victoria 2020.
- Lead the implementation and evolution of the workplace Gender Equality Action Plan, every 4 years or as otherwise required, in compliance with the requirements of the Local Government Act Victoria 2020.
- Lead the development and implementation of a Workplace Gender Equality Audit, to be included in the Gender Equality Action Plan, in compliance with the requirements of the Local Government Act Victoria 2020.
- Lead, or contribute to, the development of other workforce diversity and inclusion audits, initiatives and plans for identified groups or focus areas, which may include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, people with disabilities, LGBTQI+, cultural diversity and age profile diversity.
- Lead and/or influence and monitor the implementation of projects and initiatives identified in relevant action plans and strategy documents, which may include improvements across areas such as recruitment, selection, data collection, data reporting, learning & development and policy.

- To be considered for the role, you will require:_
- Qualifications in Human Resources, Change Management, Organisational Design or related discipline with some experience organisational development or lesser qualifications with significant experience in a similar position
- Understanding of organisational development drivers with experience developing innovative, efficient and practical solutions.
- Experience leading the development and implementation of strategic action plans in collaboration with a range of stakeholders.
- Experience working across a complex and diverse organisation with demonstrated success delivering effective outcomes
- Experience in a Diversity & Inclusion, Workforce Planning, Organisational Development, Human Resources or other relevant role in a comparable environment.
Employment checks and COVID Vaccination certificates will be required to commence. Hybrid working arrangements, 3 days per week office with flexibility for WFH on balance.
