You will play a crucial role in providing independent and expert legal services to inform decision-making by Treasury and the Treasurer on high-risk matters and projects. - Undertake drafting and reviewing of contracts, policy documentation, and Cabinet submissions.
- Engage, brief, and manage external lawyers and barristers.
- Provide excellent legal support to senior lawyers by partnering with clients and external stakeholders to identify practical solutions for complex policy, regulatory, and commercial matters.
- Work in teams on allocated matters under the supervision of senior lawyers, with opportunities for supervision and guidance of junior lawyers.
**What experience you will bring**:
**To be successful in these roles, you will need to demonstrate**:
- Analytical writing and drafting skills for commercial, statutory, and other legal documents.
- The ability to work with supervisors to provide advice that aligns with business and legal requirements, manages risk, and considers wider implications.
- Collaborative and autonomous work style to deliver on commitments and assist Treasury in meeting its objectives.
- Effective communication skills to tailor content and engage with internal and external stakeholders.
- Commitment to personal, professional, and technical growth.
- Dedication to working in a healthy and inclusive workplace.
