**What You Will Be Doing**

Join the dynamic NDIS Adult team in working with adult NDIS participants at Peninsula Health. The AHA grade 2 assists allied health professionals in the provision of best practise patient centred care, working in the client’s home and community environments (e.g. homes, supported accommodation, cafes, shopping or sporting centres) to support our participants to achieve their goals. You will be supported to build your skills across Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy intervention techniques for working with NDIS participants and their support networks. Your journey with each participant begins with a joint visit with the clinician and you are given ongoing clinical support. Our AHA's are valued members of our fun, collaborative and supportive team

**What You Need**

We anticipate you will have:

- Certificate 4 (Allied Health Assistants) or equivalent including working towards a relevant allied health professional qualification,
- A current Victorian Driver’s License.
- Experience delivering exercise/health education programs as prescribed by a health professional
- Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
- Computer skills
- Experience working with adults with disabilities is preferred

Additional Requirements

Selection Criteria Essential: Certificate IV (Allied Health Assistants) or equivalent including working towards a relevant allied health professional qualification, holder of a current ‘Working with Children Check’, NDIS compliance check and current Victorian Driver’s License.

Essential: Understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS), the principles of consumer directed care and the core values/principles of the social model of health.

Essential: Experience delivering exercise/health education programs as prescribed by a health professional for groups or individuals

Essential: Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment

Essential: Commitment to reflective continuous quality improvement including self
