**About the role

Metro North Mental Health is seeking 3rd/4th year Social Work students to undertake a range of clinical assessment and treatment tasks under the supervision of an experienced Health Practitioner in a cadet model.

Casual opportunity to contribute to consumer care by undertaking a range of clinical support activities and on the job skills development while engaged in formal full-time tertiary studies necessary to acquire an entry level mandatory qualification for employment as a Health Practitioner (i.e., Social Worker or Occupational Therapist) in Queensland. The cadet will work under the delegation and supervision of an allied health professional in the provision of effective consumer care.

About you

Successfully complete (pass) all academic and practical requirements of their tertiary study while employed as an Allied Health Cadet.
Perform a defined range of clinical assessment and treatment tasks as delegated by the allied health professional and work under their supervision in a mental health context.
Initiate mental health treatment programs and interventions under the supervision of the allied health professional using an evidenced-based approach.
