**Position Overview**

The HR Business Partner will effectively partner with all functions of the business to provide timely, practical HR advice as well as providing support on routine and regular cyclical HR activities.

You will be working with internal stakeholders and managers to build and implement Human Resources solutions in line with United for Care’s vision and values.

The role has primary responsibility for the organisation’s employee relations, policies, processes and procedures, and supporting the development and implementation of United for Care’s strategic people priorities.

**Key Responsibilities**

1. Work with the Head of People and Culture to design and deliver people plans which address the strategic and operational business needs and aligned to the overall people strategies.

2. Provide strategic and pragmatic advice to managers and employees, and ongoing support on employee relations issues, dispute resolution and industrial advocacy including managing escalated or complex cases where required.

3. Coordinate the performance review cycle and support People Managers through the process.

4. Manage ER cases end to end including employee grievances, performance issues, redundancies, bullying and harassment etc.

5. Coach people leaders to become proficient in managing people processes including, but not limited to, organisational effectiveness, performance discussions, Award and policy interpretation, effective rostering, managing attendance etc.

6. Maintain relevant, accurate and HR policies, procedures and job descriptions.

7. Conduct complex investigations ensuring legislative compliance, due process and fairness.

8. Ad hoc project work as required.

9. Work within UFC’s Code of Conduct, policies and procedures of the Quality Management System.

10. Demonstrate commitment to the care, safety and wellbeing of self, participants and others in work environment.

**Position Description**

**Qualifications Skills and Experience**
- Degree is Human Resources, Psychology or other relevant qualification
- Min 5 years’ experience business partnering with leaders to provide fit for purpose HR advice on the full employee lifecycle. Experience within the Community Services Sector preferred.
- Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the organisation
- Proven capacity to operate both strategically and operationally in development and execution across a range of human resources, organisational and cultural change programs
- Demonstrated commitment to teamwork and the construction of a supportive, collaborative work environment with the ability to lead, mentor and develop employees
- Excellent collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in partnership with senior leaders, managers and staff
- Strong working knowledge of industrial relations legislation and practice, with a constructive track record with union dealings.
- Demonstrated ability to critically analyse issues and develop and implement effective strategies and solutions that support United for Care goals and values
- Excellent communication and presentation skills including the ability to prepare high quality written reports, policies, action plans correspondence and other documentation as required.
