**Your tasks**:

- The Head of Supply Chain is accountable for designing and delivering the supply chain management strategy for Rohde & Schwarz Australia. The role is also responsible for determining and delivering the Australian Industry Capability strategy of the business.
- Determine, implement and monitor purchasing, storage and distribution strategies, policies and plans.
- Coordinate strategic purchasing for the implementation of procurement projects for the business.
- Independently negotiate contracts with suppliers to meet quality, cost and delivery requirements.
- Responsible for supplier management, supplier evaluations and risk management as well as participation in supplier audits.
- Create update and monitor material group strategies including sourcing decisions in close cooperation with the internal interfaces.
- Oversee the inventory management and storage systems to meet business requirements.
- Develop and maintain partnership relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
- Determine, implement and monitor the Australian Industry Capability strategies and objectives to ensure alignment with business and customer requirements.

**Your qualifications**:

- Completed studies in business/engineering/finance/commerce combined with a good technical understanding or a comparable field of study.
- Several years of professional experience in supply chain management and/or purchasing or a related area.
- Experience in strategic purchasing of technical systems (implementation of specifications, acceptance at the supplier, agreement of service products).
- Project management experience in the system area desirable.
- Good user knowledge of SAP R3/ S4 Hana.
- Strong customer and service orientation.
- Confident appearance, an independent way of working, as well as strong communication and assertiveness skills.
- Business fluent in English, spoken and written.
- Experience in supply chain management / procurement within the Defence Industry highly desirable.
