**Position **Digital Media Officer (Part-time)

**Salary** $73,000 per annum (pro rata) + up to 13.5% superannuation

19 hours per week

***Flexible working hours available.

The Town of Claremont is a progressive local government that was established in 1898 for the picturesque riverside suburbs of Claremont and Swanbourne. It is a busy and forward focused local government with dedicated staff who are committed to making a difference at a local level.

The Town is looking for a motivated and creative digital media officer responsible for the planning and monitoring of social media to drive growth and engagement as well as maintain and continually improve the Town’s website.

**Key responsibilities of the position include**:

- Delivering content that will enhance the community’s positive perception of the Town.
- Produce timely and high-quality content by researching and writing relevant and appropriate content that reflects and enhances the Town’s corporate image.
- Delivering social media marketing campaigns to support Town initiatives.
- Monitor and moderate digital platforms for channel growth and suggest strategies to improve engagement.
- Assist with preparation of medical releases.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline and/or relevant work experience that could be equated to tertiary qualifications.
- Broad knowledge of digital communication tools and trends.
- Creative skills applicable to digital content creation.
- Knowledge of website analytic tools, Google analytics, link building and website audits, and proven experience in using data to inform campaigns and decision-making.
