Your primary responsibility is to drive to an allocated route each day and complete the exchange of water meters, reading and recording all details in an electronic hand-held device. No experience is required, as we provide comprehensive training to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to perform the role safely. **About the role**

As a Meter Exchanger, you will be responsible for driving to an allocated route each day and completing the exchange of water meters, reading and recording all details in an electronic hand-held device.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Ensure that the correct exchange procedures are followed
- Ensure to notify property owners or occupants whenever feasible before replacing any meters
- Ensure that meters are replaced safely in line with the ARA health and safety procedures
- Verify that the replacement of a meter is recorded, and confirm that the owner or occupant has been notified about the meter replacement
- Understand and ensure efficiency targets are met
- Uphold the ARA safety standards and publicly represent ARA and our clients in a professional manner
- Regularly communicate with office support team
- Upload and download route information to and from hand-held device
- Report to office as required
- Work independently

**What you need**
- Sound mechanical aptitude
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and good attention to detail is required
- Able to undertake plenty of walking, bending and squatting (Good level of fitness and physical ability
- Able to work in most weather conditions
- Availability to work Mon - Fri, 30 - 35 hours per week
- Current valid drivers license
- Ready to learn and enjoy working independently and autonomously
- On time, reliable, punctual and able to meet strict deadlines
- Flexible and comfortable with daily travel
