Our client is an independent, national, not-for-profit organisation promoting and facilitating reconciliation by building relationships, respect, and trust between the wider Australian community and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. The opportunity
This Partnership Development Manager position is a newly created role and reports to the CEO and works closely with the broader Senior Executive Team.
You will identify and support the organisation to further develop high-value partnerships that support the growth, organisational sustainability, and financial resilience of our client. Your strategies, advice, and insights will support the CEO, COO, and SET to pursue and leverage these relationships and form partnerships for the benefit of the organisation and its work.
As our client values the lived experience and intrinsic knowledge of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the Partnership Development Manager must embody these values and demonstrate this in their practices.
You will:
- Collaborate across the organisation to gain a comprehensive understanding of our client's priorities, actively seeking out and assessing opportunities to support organisational sustainability and financial resilience.
- Work alongside the COO and SET to formulate a comprehensive partnerships and development strategy that aims to secure funding, explore commercialisation prospects, and establish partnerships that enhance performance and long-term sustainability, aligning with the organisation's strategic and programmatic goals.
- Identify potential partnership opportunities that contribute to the organisation's sustainability and financial resilience, focusing on specific program areas.
- Explore and capitalise on emerging sources of income to bolster the sustainability of our client's programs.
- Effectively manage risks, issues, and opportunities through regular planning, evaluation, and development initiatives.
- Conduct thorough research and prepare compelling fundraising proposals and reports.
- Continuously evaluate fundraising performance, collaborating with SET to enhance processes and maximise fundraising revenue.
- Lead and coordinate the creation of fundraising promotional materials, collaborating with SET and the Communications and Engagement team as needed.
- Represent the organisation in various forums, including relevant fundraising and philanthropic events, under the guidance of SET.

You possess the ability to tailor your work and communication to suit the specific context and audience.
You have the capacity to lead and develop teams, actively coaching and providing clear guidance to foster their growth and effectiveness.
