**In this role, you'll**:
Work closely with the Energy Corporation of NSW (EnergyCo), who is leading the design, delivery and coordination of NSW's Renewable Energy Zones.

Be responsible for overseeing REZ-related Transport Planning activities incl. transport modelling projects, coordinating safety and level of service outcomes.

Facilitate the transportation of large and heavy equipment, including oversize over-mass (OSOM) components such as wind turbine towers, blades, transformers and synchronous condensers.

Work closely with Planning, Integration and Passenger (PIP) teams as well as other Transport branches such as Road Maintenance and Resilience (RMR) and Infrastructure Projects & Engineering (IPE) on the development and delivery of REZ-related projects.

The home office for this role is Newcastle, however as the team is geographically distributed across the state, this role can support Hybrid + arrangements. Travel will be required depending on project requirements and could including overnight travel a few days a month.

The NSW Government introduced its Climate Change (Net Zero Future) Act in 2023. The Climate Change Act commits New South Wales to cutting greenhouse gas emissions by at least 50% by 2030 and reaching net zero by 2050. Construction of the transmission infrastructure and generation projects in Renewable Energy Zones (REZ) will require delivery of large and heavy components via the State Road network.

**About you**
It is essential to be familiar with project lifecycles (incl. Gate 0-6 documentation), Transport Modelling principles and execution, and provide guidance on decisions regarding funding allocations.

A strong leader with roads and/or transport planning experience

Exemplary communication, coordination, prioritisation and stakeholder management skills and the ability to work with people at all levels of a business.

Able to manage and guide others through the project gates as they transition between teams/units/branches.

Have a detailed understanding of roads and road authorities, planning and contract management.

You will have tertiary qualifications in project management or equivalent experience and have managed multiple projects with competing priorities.

You may even come from a disaster management or engineering background.

Capable of operating with a high degree of autonomy, are a self-starter and hold a full driving licence with the capacity to travel across the state when required.
