**Your role**

The Commissioning and Planning Officer role facilitates engagement with sector and communities to improve the local supply of services, builds collaborative relationships with providers and develops avenues for contract management that directly contribute to better outcomes for individuals, families, and communities across the Hunter and Central Coast (HCC) District. The work is dynamic, fast-paced, and requires a sophisticated range of skills and experience.

**PLEASE NOTE: There are two roles available:

- Temporary 12 months
- Temporary up to 30.06.26

**What you’ll do**

As part of the HCC Commissioning & Planning team, you will build and work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders and partners from a relationships based approach.

You will bring your individual and professi.onal experience, knowledge, and analysis of relevant data sources to ensure the team understands and can respond to the unique needs of the communities in which we work.

**What we’re looking for**

To be successful in this role you will be a good negotiator and have demonstrated experience in relationship and contract management. Innovative and client focused, you will strive for excellent service delivery and promote change in the sector. High level communication, decision making, and project management skills are a must.
- Experience working with non-government organisations and government agencies on the development and implementation of service delivery
- Experience and knowledge of one or more of the funded programs of Domestic and Family Violence, Permanency Support Program, Specialist Homelessness Services and/or Targeted Earlier Intervention
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work independently and manage your own work. Including working both independently and within a team environment
- A commitment to a culture of teamwork, excellence and continuous improvement
- Client service skills with an empathic approach to clients
- A strong commitment to customer service
- Have highly developed written and verbal skills, including writing for a variety of audiences and completion of formal and informal correspondence.
- Computer and systems competency
- Sound research and analysis skills to support evidence-based decisions
- Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline and/or equivalent knowledge, skills and experience with demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Have a valid Driver’s Licence, Working with Children Check and willingness to travel.
