**The Role**
BGIS is seeking a mobile **Handyperson**_,_** to complete planned and reactive commercial maintenance requests across multiple key contracts for BGIS.

Due to the security clearance required for this role, you must be an **Australian Citizen. & Fully Vaccinated**

**Responsibilities**:

- Carry out Preventative and Reactive general maintenance duties including but not limited to Air Conditioning, Painting, Plumbing, Tiling & Carpentry, as required;
- Liaise with Facilities and or Maintenance Managers and Supervisors to efficiently carry out the tasks and services required of BGIS under the terms of the Contract;
- Undertake repairs and maintenance when required within the scope of Qualifications and experience.
- Assist Facilities Manager and Facilities Supervisor with a formulation of correspondence with Client when required.
- Assist the Facilities Manager and Facilities Supervisor with Capital Works projects when required.
- Direct and monitor sub-contractors when required.
- Compliant with Contract obligations.
- Undertake maintenance inspection, testing, and repairs under the direction of the Facilities Manager and Facilities Supervisor.
- Undertake equipment inspections as part of a preventative maintenance job plan or as directed by the Facilities Manager or Facilities Supervisor.
- Multitask maintenance activities as required.
- Provide call-in response when required on-duty roster.
- Completion of Preventative and Corrective maintenance and repairs for all works relating to assets of the complex.
- Provide recommendations for the service and maintenance of assets.
- Monitoring of building systems.
- Contact and liaise with sub-contractors as required.

**Skills & Experience**
- Strong demonstrated experience or exposure to building/facilities management environments;
- Strong demonstrated experience in a property or corporate real estate environment or at a senior level in a similarly complex industry;
- Good Verbal & Written Communication Skills;
- Proven capability of working within an environment using QA, OH&S and environmental systems;
- Handyperson Experience in Plumbing, Painting, Tiling, Carpentry & General Repairs
- Current Drivers Licence
