The Role
We're seeking a
Plumber/Handyperson
to deliver high-quality hydraulic, plumbing, and general maintenance services across client sites in Melbourne. You'll partner with our clients and the BGIS team to ensure facilities are maintained to the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency. This role involves a mix of planned and reactive maintenance, plumbing installation, and building maintenance to support BGIS's technical operations.

What You'll Be Doing
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on hydraulic and plumbing systems
- Install, service, and maintain hot water systems (gas, electric, and solar), TMVs, and backflow devices
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs beyond your core trade where required
- Mentor and support apprentices as part of BGIS's ongoing development culture
- Manage subcontractors and coordinate works as needed
- Participate in after-hours callout rosters when required
- Ensure compliance with BGIS safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Deliver outstanding customer service while maintaining high technical standards
Your Education, Experience & Skills
- Certificate III in Plumbing (minimum qualification)
- 1–5 years' experience in a similar plumbing or hydraulic maintenance role
- White Card (General Construction Induction)
- Current manual driver's licence
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving ability
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Multi-trade capability (e.g. general maintenance, handyperson duties) desirable
- Full working rights in Australia (essential)
