**The Opportunity**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Parts Assistant to join the team at Kings Park.

Reporting to the Production Manager; you will be responsible for carrying out activities to support the SOPs, procedures and objectives of the business. This role will require both ‘hands on’ involvement with day to day activities whilst also your keen eye to inspect and check parts to ensure that quality standards are maintained.

**You will be responsible for**:
**General Duties**
- Check, package and prepare dismantled parts to transport to our warehouse
- Test and clean parts where required
- Take direction from the Production Supervisor regarding any other tasks as required
- Ensure that the area is free of hazards
- Remove parts from yard and organise into provided scrap
- Assist with ad hoc tasks to support maximising sales revenue from yard including spare parts, battery, tyre and rim sales

**Tyre and Vehicle Dismantling**
- Complete daily pre-operational inspections on equipment
- Inspect wheels and tyres for damage that may prevent safe dismantling or ability to sell
- Separate wheels and tyres safely utilising tyre extraction machinery
- Move dismantled wheels and tyres to designated storage location
- Clean the tyre dismantling area on an ongoing basis
- Remove parts as directed
- Maintain tools as required

**Specialist Knowledge**
- Forklift licences preferred.
- Knowledge of mechanical car parts and panels
- Understanding of the long-term goals and aspirations of the organisation

**Experience & Skills**
- Experience in yard maintenance
- Problem solving
- Able to work safely and efficiently both in a team environment and independently
- Well-developed interpersonal skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Able to professionally represent the organisation
