**About the role**

Work alongside Aboriginal women, families, midwives, and healthcare teams to provide culturally safe, respectful and holistic maternity care that supports healthy pregnancies, births and babies.

**Key duties of the role**
- Deliver antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care within scope of practice
- Provide cultural support, advocacy and education to women and families
- Collaborate with midwives, doctors and allied health in multidisciplinary care
- Build strong links with Aboriginal communities and health services
- Contribute to culturally safe service development and quality improvement

**Skills and Experience**
- Certificate IV in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care Practice
- Eligible for registration with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Health Practice Board
- Demonstrated experience providing antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care to Aboriginal women and families
- Strong connections with Aboriginal communities and excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary healthcare teams
