**Position Summary**

**About us**

We are a multi-floor family-owned early education service situated right by the Carousel shopping centre in Cannington. We cater for children from six weeks to five years across three rooms and two amazing purpose-built playgrounds. Our approach is centered on play-based learning, fostering curiosity and exploration. We are passionate about building meaningful relationships with families and providing programs that inspire children's growth across a wide range of areas.

We seek a qualified and enthusiastic Child Care Educator - Room Leader who can lead the day-to-day operations of your room, can ensure high standards of care, safety, and learning and work closely with educators, families, and children to create a supportive and stimulating environment for children.

**Required Qualification & Work Experience**
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 -2 years full-time work experience with experience in a similar role
- Current Working with Children Check (WWCC), First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain), National Police Clearance
- You will be required to oversee the daily operations of your room, develop, plan and implement engaging age-appropriate educational activities and support the developmental needs of the children in your care
- Must be capable of leading, delegating and supervising a team of educators
- Provide guidance and support to other educators, offering mentorship and professional development opportunities
- Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Build strong relationships with children, families, and colleagues.

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $33.50 - $37.50 per hour

Expected hours: 30 per week
