**What the role will offer you**:
Join the team in Leederville, a trendy suburb 5 minutes from Perth CBD - and only a 5-minute walk from the nearest train station. You’ll support and help develop a cohesive team of people to do their best work.

We have 2 exciting opportunities available where you will assist the Corporation in achieving sustainable outcomes by providing support to a centre of expertise in Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title advice (including technical/operational, approvals and strategy) and Aboriginal engagement.

**Here are some tasks you’ll do**:

- Project manage a portfolio of projects in close liaison with internal and external stakeholders where Aboriginal heritage and Native Title requirements form parts of the key deliverables
- Obtain required Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title legislative approvals
- Provide current, day to day practical advice to internal stakeholders on Aboriginal processes, policy and statutory obligations
- Inspect project areas with Aboriginal informants and consultants
- Coordinate and facilitate meetings/presentations within Water Corporation project areas
- Develop strategies for projects consistent with Water Corporation policy, procedures and guidelines and relevant State and Commonwealth legislation
- Identify areas of the business that can be changed or modified to cause genuine improvements in process, policy, and administration of Indigenous issues for the Corporation in conjunction with the Manager, Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title
- Provide education to the Corporation’s staff through the delivery of oral presentations and reports

**Your skills and experience**:
**There are a few things that we’ll look for in your CV**:

- This position relates to Section 50(d) of the West Australian Equal Opportunity Act 1984, where Aboriginality is considered a genuine occupational qualification for this position
- Knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation and administrative procedures in Western Australia in relation to the Aboriginal Heritage Act 1972 and the Native Title Act 1993
- Relevant experience liaising and/or negotiating with key stakeholders about Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title issues
- Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal protocols
- Demonstrated organisational and project management skills
- Ability to travel by car or fly to regional offices and areas across the state
