**In this critical role, you will**:

- Lead a team to provide strategic advice on Cultural Heritage Risk assessments, develops risk mitigation measures to ensure the organisation is equipped to manage the risks associated with legal and governance requirements, and designs and implements methodologies for Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title management across Water Corporation
- Lead the Aboriginal Heritage, Strategic Policy Team to provide accurate, consistent, and timely tactical advice to ensure compliance with relevant policies, practices, procedures, and statutory requirements and which reinforce the key pillars of the Corporation’s strategy
- Develop, implement, and review governance strategies and frameworks, policies and procedures, systems and activities to ensure Water Corporation’s continuous compliance with its obligations and requirements.
- Lead and manage business operations strategy, planning, policies and systems development that considers Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title protection.

**To be successful in this position, you will have**:

- Well-developed planning, organising, management and reporting skills
- High level of analytical and problem-solving skills with a capacity to deliver high quality outcomes and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of current and proposed/future State and Federal legislation relating to Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title
- Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement projects
- Demonstrated knowledge of statutory and regulatory policy, compliance, and reporting frameworks
