**About the role**
We have this 2 year fixed term opportunity for an Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUA) and Native Title Specialist in the Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title Team.
Do you have experience in leading and coordinating negotiations? Water Corporation is seeking a dedicated Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will lead and coordinate negotiations related to ILUAs and other pertinent agreements concerning future water services and Corporation assets. You will provide specialised advice and support to Team Leaders and the Manager of Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title.

**What the role will involve**
- ** Aboriginal Land Use Agreements**: Lead and coordinate ILUA, other agreements, and Native Title negotiation, implementation, and policy activities. Provide relevant policy advice and embed strategic frameworks for engaging with Aboriginal people and communities.
- ** Communications, Stakeholder, and Community Engagement**: Develop and maintain effective communication and community engagement strategies. Build productive working relationships with key stakeholders, particularly Aboriginal people, and communities.
- ** Strategy and Policy Management**: Influence the development of strategic direction, policy, and position statements. Engage with Aboriginal Communities, Traditional Owner Groups, and Aboriginal businesses to inform strategic development.
- ** Project Support**: Provide ongoing support and expertise to projects involving ILUAs, Native Title matters, and other agreements. Manage special projects and issues of a critical nature.
- ** Continuous Improvement**: Identify improvements in process, policy, and administration of Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title.
**About you**
**Essential Criteria**:
- Tertiary qualifications in Law, Commerce, Anthropology, or a related discipline.
- Substantial experience in ILUA, Native Title, and other relevant agreement negotiation and implementation.
- Experience in Aboriginal community engagement, stakeholder, and issues management.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation and administrative procedures in Western Australia.
- High level of interpersonal, negotiation, and organisational skills.
**Desirable Criteria**:
- Expert knowledge of Aboriginal Heritage and Native Title.
- Experience in project management.
